Smart Money Concepts sound complex, but they rest on one idea: price leaves a trail of swing highs and lows that tells you who is in control. Edo Smart Money Map reads that trail automatically — no oscillators, no moving averages — and answers three questions: where structure breaks, whether that break continues or reverses the trend, and which supply and demand zones are still alive.
Swings and the Structure Profile
Everything starts with the swings — the relevant highs and lows whose break defines structure. A configurable Structure Profile sets how many bars confirm each swing: Scalper (5 bars) for intraday, Swing (10, the default) for 4-hour and daily, and Long Term (21) for weekly horizons. An optional layer labels each confirmed swing HH, HL, LH or LL directly on price, so the higher-high / higher-low sequence of an uptrend — and the moment it breaks — is visible without any extra tool.
BOS vs CHoCH: continuation or reversal
When price closes beyond the last relevant swing in the direction of the prevailing bias, the indicator marks a BOS (Break of Structure) — the trend continues. When it closes beyond structure against the bias, it marks a CHoCH (Change of Character) and flips the panel bias — the first sign control may be changing hands. The same level break is a BOS or a CHoCH purely by context, so the indicator remembers the structural direction and decides the label on every break. Both are validated on closed bars only, which removes the false breaks that clutter tools marking intrabar.
Order blocks and their state
Every confirmed break spawns the order block that originated it — the last opposite candle before the impulse — drawn as a Bull OB or Bear OB box and extended to the right while it stays alive. Each block lives in one of two states: Active (intact) or Mitigated (price has reached it, by wick or close depending on the input). Only active blocks count in the panel, which condenses the structural bias, the last confirmed event and the live Bull OB and Bear OB counts into four lines.
