Classic moving averages force you to choose between speed and smoothness. The Hull MA breaks that trade-off, and Edo HMA Core brings it to the chart with a state engine that colors the trend.
How to read it
The Hull MA reacts fast without turning noisy, so its slope is a reliable read of the trend. The state engine colors the line by the sign of that slope (Trend Up, Trend Down or Flat), and a faster HMA crossing the main line shows whether the move is accelerating or losing pace.
How to use it in practice
Use it as a reactive trend guide: as long as the HMA stays in Trend Up, you keep the bullish bias; when the Fast HMA drops back below the main line, the move is losing steam. The Flip markers warn of the state change before a slow average would.
When not to rely on it alone
Speed has a downside: in very sideways markets, the HMA will change state frequently. Use it in a trend, filtered by the context.
